Development Coordinator

Optica is looking for a Development Coordinator.

Are you a motivated early-career professional ready to make a difference? The Optica Foundation seeks a dynamic individual to help us achieve our fundraising goals. As a critical team member, you'll work closely with the Deputy Senior Director of Development and Fundraising to coordinate essential cultivation activities and events, maintain donor data, and drive our fundraising campaigns to success.

Primary Responsibilities

  1. Project Management: Collaborate with the development team to streamline project workflows and ensure the achievement of project milestones.
  2. Fundraising Support: Play a crucial role in helping us reach and exceed fundraising goals by providing tactical and administrative support.
  3. Donor Tracking: Maintain accurate reports on donors, both current and potential, across various fundraising campaigns.
  4. Data Management: Compile data from multiple sources for mailings and analysis, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
  5. Pledge Management: Ensure correct invoicing and timely receipt of payments as per donor agreements.
  6. Marketing Support: Assist in marketing efforts to promote foundation programs and fundraising through various channels, including print, email, and social media.
  7. Cultivation Opportunities: Nurture donor relationships, schedule calls, meetings, and travel for Optica executives and foundation board members.
  8. Representation Audit: Regularly update how donors, beneficiaries, and programs are represented in print and digital materials.
  9. Meeting Support: Collect meeting notes and prospects for the Major Gifts Director and the foundation team.
  10. Prospect Research: Identify prospective new donors and their interests to expand our donor base.
  11. Event Coordination: Handle logistics for fundraising events and activities as directed.
  12. Impact Data Collection: Collaborate with program managers to gather impact data, stories, quotes, and testimonials for marketing and annual reports.
  13. Scholarship Support: Assist with 1-2 application cycles for scholarships, prizes, or events benefiting beneficiaries.
  14. Administrative Duties: Provide general administrative support for the foundation team.
