Entangle with Optica.

We are celebrating World Quantum Day on 14 April. Our members and our community continue to explore, expand and achieve results in quantum science and technology today and everyday.

Meet Optica Quantum
Announcing Optica Quantum.

Optica Quantum is a new, online-only Gold Open Access journal launching in September 2023 to rapidly disseminate high-impact research results across many sectors of quantum science and technology.

Led by Dr. Michael G. Raymer, University of Oregon, USA, Optica Quantum joins the society’s portfolio of the most-cited journals in optics and photonics and will provide the community with articles of the same exceptional standards for quality, novelty, and significance as its parent journal, Optica.

Haensch Prize Winner Victoria Xu
Meet the winner of the Theodor W. Hänsch Prize in Quantum Optics.

The Optica Foundation announces the first winner of the Hänsch Prize in Quantum Optics: Victoria Xu, MIT Kavli Institute – LIGO Laboratory, USA, for contributions in using quantum optics to fundamentally improve metrology through large-scale interferometers and advanced gravitational wave (GW) detection.

Supported by Menlo Systems GmbH, Hamamatsu Photonics and Thorlabs, the Hänsch Prize recognizes an early-career with a US$20,000 prize.
