Thierry Lanz is the CEO and co-founder of OGS Technologies created in 2020. OGS Tech provides solutions of optical ground stations for free-space optical telecoms, satellite laser ranging, time transfer, and space situation awareness. Thierry Lanz was the Director of Observatoire de la Côte d'Azur from 2015 to 2020. Formerly a Program Executive and Discipline Scientist in the Science Mission Directorate at NASA Headquarters (2008-2011), he came to France in 2012 to establish and lead a multi-disciplinary laboratory in Nice. Thierry Lanz has a PhD in Astrophysics from Geneva University, and worked as a Research Scientist in Space Astrophysics for about 20 years mostly at NASA Goddard Space Flight Center and University of Maryland at College Park.
