Vision and Color Summer Data Blast

You are invited to join the Optica Vision and Color Technical Division for their annual summer data blast! Each session will be hosted by one of our division’s technical groups and feature short talks related to their area of the field. The sessions will include a lot of time for questions and discussion following the talks.

This week's session on clinical vision science will feature the following talks:

“Retinal Progenitor Cells for Treatment of Retinitis Pigmentosa presented by Dr. Henry Klassen, University of California, Irvine/jCyte

1024-channel recording and stimulation in NHPs for vision restoration presented by Dr. Xing Chen, University of Pittsburgh

Early visual-function results for the Intracortical Visual Prosthesis (ICVP) presented by Dr. Michael Barry, Illinois Institute of Technology, Chicago 

“Data-driven phosphene models for prosthetic vision presented by Dr. Michael Beyeler, University of California, Santa Barbara

“Does sight restoration reverse alterations in cross-modal functional connections?" presented by Dr. Negin Nadvar, Harvard Medical School 

"Predicting optogenetic vision from cellular responses in mice" presented by Ezgi Yucel, University of Washington

Our moderators for this session will be Arathy Kartha, SUNY College of Optometry, and Noelle Stiles, University of Southern California.
