Optica Online Industry Meeting: Augmented and Mixed Reality

31 October 2023 10:00 - 12:00

Eastern Time (US & Canada) (UTC - 04:00)

Register Now

For those attending from Europe, please note that the meeting time is adjusted due to the transition onto the daylight saving time.

Augmented, virtual and mixed reality platforms are improving to the point of their use in industrial environments, such as for cable harness installation, and for medicine and education. Wider use will require further improvements in headset design–particularly weight and cost, but also many visual metrics, such as field of view, frame rate and latency. This meeting will review the state of the art and what is needed next from the optics and photonics community to move AR/VR to wider use.
